Martha’s Vineyard Youth Empowerment Film Showcase

The Institute of Research for Social Justice in Action (IRSJA), in partnership with the National Youth Employment Coalition, proudly hosted the first-ever Martha’s Vineyard Youth Empowerment Film Showcase—a groundbreaking platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of young storytellers.

This inaugural event celebrated the creativity, vision, and leadership of aspiring youth film creators from across the country. Through powerful short films, these emerging artists tackled themes of identity, justice, resilience, and community change, offering fresh perspectives on the issues shaping our world today.

The showcase concluded with an awards presentation, where outstanding youth filmmakers were honored with prizes to support their continued artistic growth and storytelling journey. More than just a competition, the Youth Empowerment Film Showcase served as a launchpad for the next generation of change agents in film—proving that young people’s stories are not only worth telling, but worth celebrating on the big stage.
